Project : Mount Pleasant Villas
Client : Barron & Co
Date : 2008
Purpose : Pair of semi-detached houses
Location : Harringey, London
Development Cost : £650,000
Conceived as a hydroponic tank within which two houses sit as interlocking vessels, the planted flank walls integrate building and landscape. Raising the debate on environmental developments, the building expresses a natural dynamic process; that it would grow, evolve and seasonally increase its degree of connectivity with its site - Architecture as Eco-system.
