Project : Grand Theatre
Client : Mean Fiddler Organisation
Date : 1991
Purpose : Concert Venue
Location : Clapham, London
Development Cost : £1,000,000
The Grand Theatre is one of the great architectural gems of South London. Originally designed by the well respected theatre architect EA Woodrow 1900. The Grand had functioned initially as a variety theatre and subsequently a cinema and bingo hall over the receding 85 years prior to SDA Ltd being commissioned by MFO to remodel and refurbish the dilapidated structure as a live music venue. The Grand became the premier live concert venue in South London and won many architectural and promotional awards.
