| Point 101 is located in a former National Westminster Bank at Centre Point London WC1. The bank was designed as an integral part of a mixed use commercial transport hub and residential development by Richard Seifert + Partners in 1968. SDA Ltd were commissioned to remodel and redesign the premises as a cafe-bistro bar and music club it was re-opened as Point 101 in the summer 1998. The building was reorganised on two public levels, comprising of ground floor - music / dance club + Main bar are and first floor level mezzanine - cafe bistro. It was described as follows in Architects Journal; “another success for Mean Fiddler Organisation, delivered by SDA with style and panache.” |
